50 YEARS OF CLASSIC BRITISH HORROR FESTIVAL
Graphic Design, Photography and Promotion

CLIENT: SELENE PAXTON-BROOKS, 2022-2025

In 2022, horror enthusiast Selene Paxton-Brooks staged a one-day horror festival at St. George's Theatre in Great Yarmouth. The programme consisted of the screening of the feature films Asylum, Dracula AD 1972 and the BBC ghost story A Warning to the Curious. Guests included horror film historian Wayne Kinsey, Hammer Films runner Phil Campbell and Sergei Subotsky, son of the Amicus horror film producer Milton Subotsky.

The festival went so well - a horror film festival in a converted church! - that a second event was organised for 2023. This was even more successful, featuring on stage interviews with actors Madeleine Smith (above left) and  Britt Ekland (left) and sold out completely.

I designed the '50 Years...' logo and the poster, take photographs and liaise with the local press, ensuring that the festival is given the widest possible local coverage. In 2025, Selene changed the format of the events, with a day devoted to legendary horror actor Vincent Price (Ieft top) at Norwich Puppet Theatre.
