CLIENT: VIAVISION, 2022-
Mike Kenwood and myself,
co-authors of The Callan File: The Definitive Companion and
Sweeney! The Official Companion, were commissioned by the
Australian home media company ViaVision to record six audio
commentaries, for 'Ultimate Collection' DVD box sets of the two
seminal British TV series.
Drawing on years of
research and interviews with actors, writers and directors, for
Callan we recorded audio tracks for the series' pilot, Armchair
Theatre: 'A Magnum for Schneider', as well as 'The Same Trick
Twice' from Series Three. For The Sweeney, we recorded an audio
commentary for each of its four series - 'Jackpot', 'Chalk and
Cheese', 'Taste of Fear' and 'Hearts and Minds'. The latter was a
special "farewell present" to stars John Thaw and Dennis Waterman,
co-starring the legendary comedy duo Morecambe and Wise.
