CLIENT: THE MOLOTOVS, 2023–
Channelling a love of mod,
punk, Britpop, The Clash, Bowie and - particularly - The Jam, The
Molotovs played Lowestoft's Seagull Theatre in October 2023. Their
manager and I found that we shared the same feeling regarding rock
bands - that the best ones inspire a loyal and dedicated following.
She was impressed with the photographs I took, and I've had an open
invitation to The Molotovs' gigs ever since.
Visually, the band's
references include Julie Christie, Andy Warhol's Factory, The Beatles,
Steve Marriott and Nancy Sinatra. I try and capture the joyous pop of
those late 20th century icons with my vivid and dynamic photographs of
The Molotovs performing live.
